Sean J Morris is an L.A. based composer and music producer writing in a primarily hard-hitting electronic and orchestral hybrid style. Sean has composed music for multiple feature films, television commercials, movie trailers, and television episodes including the 2008 EMMY Award winning documentary “Dream No Little Dream.” Sean has worked closely with Hollywood visionaries including Academy Award winning producer Gray Frederickson (“The Godfather” trilogy, “Apocalypse Now”), writing music for many of his recent films. Sean has also produced, co-produced, and worked as a ghost writer for top international touring DJ’s and his music and productions have been performed live at major music festivals around the world including Creamfields, Coachella, Macau EDM, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Daisy Carnival for crowds reaching up to 65,000 people. Sean has licensed original music for commercials and promo campaigns for clients including DirecTV, Motocross, and Animal Planet. Sean has also worked as an orchestrator and copyist on national television commercials for clients including Walgreens, Aflac, Verado, The Lending Tree, Proctor and Gamble, and Chevrolet.
Sean’s career has been built on a combination of solid education and real world experience. He performed in Carnegie Hall’s prestigious Weill Hall in New York before he had finished high school and later graduated with honors from USC’s Thornton School of Music. He went on to attend UCLA’s master’s program in music composition and studied directly with the late great Academy Award winning composer Jerry Goldsmith.
